The 16-nation AFCON tournament kicks off in Equatorial Guinea today and ends on February 8.

Addressing the AFCON media launch in Accra, Mr Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, the General Manager of SS Ghana, disclosed that SuperSport would have a 24-hour dedicated AFCON channel with two magazine shows that would provide live match analysis, as well as behind-the-scene stories.

He said: “SuperSport is the best place to be for the AFCON and the Ghana Premier League because both will be on the DStv and GOtv platforms. “All the 32 matches will be telecast live for our Premium subscribers, while 16 live games will be made available for our GOtv subscribers, with the rest delayed.”

“As an added bonus, our SS5 channel has been added to our Compact and Compact PLUS bouquets,” Mr Sunkwa-Mills stressed.

Mr Felix Awogo, the General Manager of SuperSport West Africa, also stated that DStv had a dedicated camera for the Black Stars, which he hoped, would chronicle the team’s journey to win the AFCON trophy which had eluded them for 33 years.

The Marketing and Communications Manager of DStv and GOtv Ghana, Anne Sackey, explained that the tag line for the tournament, #ShowYourLove, urges Ghanaian fans to express their love for the Stars for the chance to win an all-expenses-paid viewing.
