The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku addressing the association’s 29th Ordinary Congress in Kumasi Monday morning touched on many things relating to the development of football, especially initiatives the association intends to implement at the regional level.

Here are the key hightlights from Kurt Okraku’s address.

  • Plan to have a coordinating office in Accra to oversee the work of RFAs
  • FA to give GH¢100,000 for purchase of footballs for all regional competitions
  • FA to provide pickups for Regional FA chairpersons
  • FA will contribute GH¢300,000 for payment of officiating at the regional level
  • FA to invest GH¢200,000 for training of referees under Catch Them Young initiative
  • GH¢,000 monthly allowance for referees managers at the regional level
  • RFA chairman to get GH¢4,000 monthly and vice chair to get GH¢1,500 monthly.
