Bempong wins Achimota Monthly Medal

Seasoned golfer, Beatrice Vetsch-Bempong, left the Achimota Golf Club as the winner of this month’s Ladies Monthly Medal prize.

The 2012 Female Golfer of the Year recorded an impressive net score of 74 to reign in the silver category, while Misonu Amu and Jane Stordeur followed in second and third places with 78 and 81 scores respectively. Mariatu Bah shot an above course par of 75 to win the bronze category  with a 75 net score, with Lady Captain Peace Akwei picking the second prize with 79net score.

Mrs Janet Tamakloe, won the booby prize of a bottle of mineral water after an interesting 101 net score.

The competition’s sponsor, Wilson Tei, later said: “I have always supported  the course of women; I think they should be given more visibility, hence this support.”
