Black Stars to camp in Dubai
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has finalised plans for the Black Stars to pitch camp in Dubai ahead of their crunch World Cup qualifier against Egypt this month.
According to FA sources, Black Stars head coach Avram Grant rejected an earlier proposal for the team to camp in the Turkish capital of Istanbul ahead of their November 13 clash in the Egyptian resort city of Alexandria due to the prevailing cold climate in Istanbul.

Instead, the Israeli trainer and the FA settled for Dubai for the team’s six-day camp because the warm weather conditions of the United Arab Emirates capital were similar to that of Alexandria.
This is will be the second time the Black Stars are camping in Turkey to prepare for an important match against the Pharaohs.
In 2013, the Stars pitched camp in Istanbul to prepare for their final World Cup group qualifier against the Egyptians.
The Stars, the Graphic Sports has learnt, will fly straight from Dubai to Alexandria via a chartered aircraft two days ahead of the important qualifier.
This paper learnt that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has made budgetary provisions estimated at $600,000 to cater for the team’s preparation for the Egypt match.
