Both Kotoko and Hasaacas need a win badly to appease their fans who are already fuming with rage after both teams suffered some humiliating defeats in the one-month-old Ghana Premier League.

However, at Tema, high-flying Accra Hearts of Oak will seek to maintain their impressive run when they play as guests of Inter Allies in a potential thriller on Sunday.

While Kotoko have picked only two points in four games and are perched on the 14th position on the league table, Hasaacas have four points and placed 11th on the log. But the home side faces more pressure to win this afternoon’s clash, with Coach David Duncan and his charges desperate to redeem their image after one of their worst starts in recent times. Some angry Kotoko fans are calling for the head of their trainer who is aware that only a victory over Hasaacas can soothe the pains of their aggrieved fans and save his job.

On Sunday, league leaders Hearts face a tough task against 10th-placed Inter Allies who draw strength at home and hardly lose games at Tema, particularly because most visiting sides are not accustomed to the artificial turf.

However, Hearts trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi is not taking their opponent’s territorial advantage for granted, as he plans to give his players a feel of the Astro turf by relocating their training to the Accra Wembley Park at Kotobabi today before facing Inter Allies on Sunday.

At Sogakope, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) will seek to continue their winning run at home by adding Liberty Professionals to their list of victims which include Kotoko and Hasaacas.

In other matches on Sunday, high-flying Dreams FC will trek to the Nana Ameyaw Park at Techiman to play fellow debutants Techiman City FC, while Wa All Stars welcome New Edubiase United to the Wa Stadium.

Bechem United play host to Ebusua Dwarfs at Nana Ofosu Gyeabour Park at Bechem, while defending champions, AshantiGold, welcome Aduana Stars to the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.

The match between Berekum Chelsea and Medeama has been postponed because of Medeama’s CAF Confederation Cup assignment with Al-ittihad Tripoli at Tarkwa.
