Doku, Dogbatse retain seats

The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) and the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) chairmen, Nii Komiete Doku and Francis Dogbatse, yesterday retained their positions after winning their respective elections in Accra and Ho.

Nii Doku secured 72 votes to ensure a landslide victory over young Eugene Jacquaye who bagged 17 votes in a suspense-filled poll.

The feat will, therefore, see Doku representing the region on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) National Executive Commitee in the next four years after succeeding the late Jordan Anagbla.

On the other hand, Mr Dogbatse also polled 37 votes to shrug off a stiff competition from Mawutor Agbavitor who had 31 votes.

Dogbatse will also represent the Volta Region on the GFA National Executive Committee for the next four years.
