FIFA World Cup qualifier: Ghana XI v Egypt - Partey, Amartey in, Boye, Acquah out
Ghana coach Avram Grant has made two significant changes for the must-win 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt at the Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Grant has dropped the much maligned John Boye for Leicester star Daniel Amartey at centre back while Thomas Partey has been handed a rare start ahead of Torino’s Afriyie Acquah in midfield.
There is also a return from injury for skipper Andre Dede Ayew who may be paired up front with his brother Jordan or deployed on the left flank.
From the line-up it is unclear whether Grant has departed from his favourite 4-4-2 formation or has opted for a 4-2-3-1 system for the clash.
The game starts at 4pm GMT.
Below is the full squad;
Ghana XI - Razak Braimah (GK) - Harrison Afful, Baba Rahman, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Thomas Partey, Christian Atsu, Mubarak Wakaso, Jordan Ayew, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Andre Ayew (C).
