Appiah for Graphic Sports Health Walk
Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah will join hundreds of staff of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (publishers of the Graphic Sports newspaper and Graphic Sports Online), professional associations, fitness clubs, corporate bodies and other members of the public to participate in the second Graphic Sports Health Walk tomorrow morning at the Peduase Lodge, near Aburi.
Currently, a member of coach Kwasi Appiah’s backroom staff, the football icon is a strong fitness advocate who regularly walks along the Peduase Lodge hill on weekends.
Tomorrow morning’s walk starts at the Ayi Mensah Police Station at 7.00 a.m. to the Peduase Lodge with Appiah and some experts on fitness and wellness giving a talk on the benefits of regular walking as an exercising and healthy lifestyle.
The first Graphic Sports Health Walk came off successfully at the same venue in May for professional associations on the theme, “My Health, My Wealth”, and tomorrow’s event promises to be exciting, according the acting Graphic Sports Editor, Maurice Quansah.
“It will be an exciting time to join a football icon such Stephen Appiah who regularly walks along that Ayi Mensah-Peduase Hill stretch and other members of the public to undertake this important exercise tomorrow.
“The Graphic Sports intends to make this health walk a regular activity across the country next year as the brand promoters healthy lifestyle and wellness through regular exercises. And for participants, it will be a great opportunity to interact with Appiah and get to know the staff behind the Graphic Sports publications,” said Mr Quansah.
The second Graphic Sports Health Walk is sponsored by Voltic Mineral Walter and Fan Milk Limited.
