The insurance company is also willing to pay GH¢ 1,000 for every winning goal in the group stages, GH¢ 1,200 in the quarter and semi-finals and GH¢1,500 for the winning goal in the final grand.

Presenting the package at a brief ceremony at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the General Manager in charge of Marketing at GLICO, Charles Graham-Mensah, said the gesture was to demonstrate his outfit’s support to the development of sports in the country and also to motivate the team to play their hearts out at the tournament.

“We as a company want to demonstrate our support to sports in the country and so we believe this will go a long way to push the national team to play their hearts out in Equatorial Guinea,” he said.

The president of the  GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, on behalf of the team, lauded the initiative and expressed appreciation to GLICO for the support.

He said the insurance aspect of the package would motivate the players to go for every career threatening tackles during the competition.
