Golf: ADISCO Old Boys beat Mfantsipim oldies

Old students of the Adisadel College (Santaclausians) last Monday defeated their counterparts from the Mfanstipim School (MOBA), 21 to 16 points to win the fourth edition of the annual Sir Sam Jonah Golf Challenge between the two institutions.

The competition, put together five years ago by Sir Sam Jonah, a Santaclausian, is to foster a healthy relationship between the two bodies through sport as well as network.

The Santaclausians were represented by Sir Jonah, Prof. George William Kofi Intsiful, K. O. Agyeman, David Atuwo, Eric Addo Mensah, the Abrokwah brothers, Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah, Oko Allotey, among other. Also featuring, were H. E. Kim Sungsoo Korean Ambassador to Ghana and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung, Jingak Chung as guests of Adisadel.

Mike Aggrey, Charles Sekyere, Smyly Bannerman, Micheal Simpson and Frank Tackie were among the golfers for MOBA.

Kwadwo Assah-Sam and Dr. Augustine Alifo from ADISCO won the Closest to the Pin and the Longest Drive respectively and received a brand new samsung S8 phone.

The two-day event was sponsored by Vodafone, Samsung, Mobus, Holland Insurance and Special Ice saw a lot of old students from the various schools participating.
