Gruzah scares Aduana; To run back to court
The victory by King Faisal last Monday in the ongoing legal battle with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), which has stalled the commencement of the country’s elite football league, seems to have sent shivers down the spine of the defendants as the parties involved in the case brace themselves up for the final battle on Monday, December 15, 2014.
The GFA is expected to file its defence pending the hearing of the case on December 15 but Aduana Stars Football Club, who had been cited as an interested party in one of the early court sittings, had already filed their defence.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Albert Commey, told the Graphic Sports yesterday that the club went ahead to file their defence because in an earlier case involving the two parties (the GFA and King Faisal), Aduana were cited as interested party.
“In one of the cases involving King Faisal and the GFA,we were mentioned as an interested party and so we had no choice than to file a defence even though we had not been served”.
He said “Aduana know they have a good case and so we are more than confident we would come out victorious”.
Mr Commey described the case which has prevented the GFA from starting this year’s football league as unfortunate but said “We must see through this case because it will be a bad precedent if we adhere to those proposing the 18-team league”.
On the activities of the club in the face of the current court case, Commey said Aduana had been playing friendly matches and were ready for any competition.
It will be recalled that the GFA, together with Aduana Stars, filed a suit to have a case against the disciplinary committee of the GFA by King Faisal dismissed but an Accra High court threw out the suit last Monday and adjourned the case to December 15, 2014 for hearing.
