I want to lead Wa All Stars to CAF money zone – Coach Adipah

The 2015/2016 Premier League award winner, Coach Enos Kwame Adipah, says his target for next season is to lead Wa All Stars to reach the money zone of the CAF Champions League competition at which they will represent Ghana next year.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports last Friday after he was decorated with the esteemed Coach of the Season award, Coach Adipa said “our target in Africa is at least to get to the final four.”

“This is our first continental assignment so we are preparing adequately to live up to expectation. I know it will not be easy but with good and a very high ambition we will get there.”

“I intend to maintain my old players but once we are going to represent the nation in the competition we need to beef up the team so I have penned down names of some players to the management of the club and I hope those players agree to come on board. If we muster courage and have the same determination with which we won the league, we will get there”, he added.

“Other leagues have started so per my programme, we are planning to embark on some trips to start a good preparation towards the Ghana Premier League and Africa as well,” he noted.

Although Coach Adipah was excited at his nomination and subsequent win of the Best Coach award he was, however, sad that his team (the entire playing body) was not recognised on the night for the hard work which sealed the team’s victory.

“I am happy for this achievement but I am also sad that my boys who did the job on the field, with the exception of the goalkeeper, were not recognised and I think that was not good enough,” he stressed.
