Joseph Omane Baah wins Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup
Amateur golfer Joseph Omane Baah edged 89 other golfers to qualify for the grand finale of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup (TAWGC) on Saturday at the Celebrity Golf Course, Sakumono.
Baah playing with a handicap of 17 returned an individual Stableford points tally of 39 to clinch the trophy.
His prize also includes return Business Class flights with Turkish Airlines to the TAWGC, all expenses paid stay at the 5-star Titanic Deluxe Belek resort, a two-round Grand Final at Titanic Golf Club and season tickets to attend the Turkish Airlines Open, which will be held at Regnum Carya Golf and Spa Resort, Belek, Antalya.

In an interview after picking up his prize, Baah said he was lucky to win the tournament but was looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the best golfers from across the world in Turkey.
"I have not played much this year but I am looking forward to playing more tournaments the fio prepare for the finals in Turkey," an elated Baah told the Daily Graphic shortly after picking up his prize.
"I was a bit lucky because it rained last night and the course was difficult but I will make the best of this opportunity".
He pipped second placed Janet Stordeur (38 points) and the Competition Secretary of the Celebrity Golf Club, Mr Theodore Asampong(37 points) into second and third place respectively.
Majdi Joher recorded 73 points to emerge the golfer with the best gross score while Constace Awuni and Jimmy Thorne claimed the respective Nearest to the Pin awards for the men and women.
