“I arrived in Takoradi a few minutes ago and will take over the club from tomorrow (Monday). I signed a two-year contract which takes effect from June 1,” he told the Daily Graphic in a telephone chat yesterday.
Karela FC are currently seventh in the 16-club competition in Zone 2 and are hoping to finish in a respectable position at the end of the season.
“I’ve a fair idea about the team and we will try to build a good team to finish well this season and seek qualification to the Premier League next season,” he said
“For now I can only work with the players available because the registration window is closed. I can only consider some new players to beef up the team next season.”
Frimpong Manso has a track record for qualifying Kessben FC and B.A. United to the premiership in previous years.
At the national team level, he was assistant to the Jones Attuquayefio when he handled the Black Meteors in 2007 and also served as the Head Coach for the Black Starlets in 2010.
