The working visit, a requirement by the Youth and Sports Ministry’s World Cup Committee, was to ensure that all mandated travel and tours agencies for the Mundial fulfil required travel arrangements for prospective soccer fans.

Mr Poku tells the Daily Graphic that Kenpong Travel and Tours is the only travel agency that has conducted a thorough feasibility studies on the match venues, accommodation and internal  transport  arrangements, and hinted that lessons from the trip had equipped his outfit to give its clients a good deal.

He pointed out that  KT &T had succeeded in securing accommodation for the 500 soccer fans who would be flown to Brazil by his outfit.

“Until our recent trip to Brazil, we thought our initial travel was enough to guarantee the accommodation arrangements but we have succeeded in putting pen to paper and I can assure all those travelling with us that they have no cause to worry.”

“We consider what we are doing as an investment, already, we have hit the ground running regarding the Holland-Ghana game in Rotterdam, and we are also doing the Commonwealth Games and the women’s U-20 World Cup in Canada.

“We will be meeting with the UK High Commission soon to further discuss travel arrangements for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,” he disclosed.
