More trouble for Hearts as they play Aduana

Accra Hearts of Oak head to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars in search of a badly needed win in the pick of the five First Capital Plus Premier League games this weekend.

Hearts suffered a smarting 0-3 loss to Wa All Stars on the opening day of the second round. The loss re-opened existing cracks in the Phobian family, leaving Coach Mohammed Polo under severe pressure from the Phobian faithful and in dire need of victory.

The Phobians are currently fourth with 27 points and already trail leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, by seven points even though the leaders have a game in hand.

Hearts are without a win in three games, and Milislav Bogdanovich’s Aduana are tipped to continue Hearts woes.

Hearts have won once in three games at Dormaa, and in marauding right-back, Godfred Saka, Aduana, possess the man to put Hearts to the sword.

Today, the Tema derby promises to be a thrilling contest as Amidaus Professionals, who lie just outside the relegation zone,  take on bottom side Inter Allies at the Tema Stadium

Elsewhere at the Len Clay Stadium tomorrow, Ashgold play their first league game this year against Bechem United after their tie with Berekum Chelsea was postponed.

The Miners recruited former New Edubiase United hitman, Emmanuel Baffour, in the off-season and  hope his goals  would continue their superb home run with a win over Bechem after the reverse fixture last year ended 2-2.

Five places seperate Bechem in ninth place from Ashgold in third, but Ashgold would be in for a fierce contest as they look to prevent Kotoko from turning the title race into a procession.

The surprise of this season, Heart of Lions, will hope to continue their superb form with a win over giant killers, Wa All Stars.
