The National Sports College in Winneba has successfully concluded its four-day Sports Management and Administration Certificate Course, held from September 22 to 25, 2025.
The program attracted 85 participants from diverse professional backgrounds, including coaches, administrators, lawyers, doctors, referees, and retired referees.

Dr. Austin Luguterah, Director of Sports at the University of Ghana, highlighted the course’s professional value: “The sports management administration course is a professional course designed for sports practitioners. We blend theory and practical knowledge to ensure participants understand every aspect. We all agree that this is the way to go.”

Prof. Daniel Apaak, Associate Professor at the University of Cape Coast, described the sessions as both insightful and educative, expressing optimism that participants will return to their fields equipped with new strategies to improve sports management and administration.

Mr. Bawah Fuseini, Director of the National Sports College, expressed his satisfaction with the program’s success:
“The whole event has been successful. We will continue to build on this as we develop the college. Participants were visibly excited during the picture session. We plan to offer an intermediate course before the end of the year.”
The College reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening sports management capacity nationwide, signaling that this is only the beginning of a series of progressive training programs for sports professionals.
