Oguaa must rally behind Dwarfs, Vipers — Boison

A retired footballer, Justice Boison, has appealed to all those living in Cape Coast to rally behind the two traditional football clubs, Venomous Vipers and Ebusua Dwarfs financially,  to help them bounce back to their glory days.

He said for instance that the current Dwarfs team was not too bad but it lacked the fighting spirit to win their games.

However, Mr Boison said that the newly-appointed head coach of the club, Prosper Narteh, must make some good signings during the second registration window to lift the club up from the bottom of the league log.

Justice Boison, who is popularly known as Alaa in football circles, played for the club between 1992 to 1994 after a five-year stint with rivals, Venomous Vipers.

He suggested that the owners of Dwarfs,  a Limited Liability Company, must also give the opportunity to bring  other well meaning members to come on board to support the club financially.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Mr Boison said “Cape coast deserved better in terms of football because the sport created an indirect employment opportunities particularly to many of the youth from the area” and attributed the current dismal performance of Dwarfs to a possible bad — season training.

He, however, expressed optimism that the club would pick up the pieces to be able to stay in the elite division.

On Vipers, Mr Boison lauded the role of the current coach, Robert Kuofie, who he said had transformed the club, saying “We need all hands on deck to bring Vipers where it truly belonged”.
