The park, which has now been named after the MP, as Mama Pat Football Field, is located at Asokwa and has a standby pipe that would be used to constantly water the grass.

The MP also presented four sets of jerseys to the various football teams within the community that had been playing football on the field.

Recounting the reason for undertaking the project, Madam Appiagyei said she once watched a football match on the field and  one of the players got injured because of the bad nature of the field.

She said after taking care of the injured, she decided to rehabilitate the field to prevent such injuries and gave an assurance that with the experience in working on that field she would take steps to redevelop remaining fields in the area.

She expressed the hope that the good nature of the football field would take the youth away from anti-social activities, produce more great footballers for clubs in the region and the country as well as afford people the opportunity to exercise.
