Polo: Ghana play England today

The Independence Polo Cup epic clash between Ghana and England comes off today at the Accra Polo Grounds and it is expected  to be an uncompromising tournament between polo players of the two countries.

The two-day competition which climaxes tomorrow commemorates Ghana’s 58th Independence anniversary and it is to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two nations.

His Excellency Jon Benjamin, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, will be the special Guest of Honour at the event expected to be more interesting, considering the historical relationship between the two nations.

The English team will feature players such as Alaister Patersen, Ich Tenger, Omar Mangalji and Charles Schrager and the Ghanaian team will comprise George Agyemang, Club Captain Kwakye Dopoah-Dei, Damian Duncan, Harold Awuah-Darko and Wassem Helwani.
