As happened in the men's event, the female teams engaged in the qualifiers will have double headers within one week, the first leg of the final round of qualifying matches to be played today across the continent, followed by the second legs next Tuesday.

Today in Tunis, Ghana's Black Queens will be the guests of Tunisia in a match that puts the Ghanaians up as favourites.

The Queens go into today’s game as one of the best on the continent currently, literally dangling the gold won at last year's All Africa Games around their necks and boasting a solid team.

Very much aware of the status and pedigree of their guests, the Tunisians say they have a plan to, at least, get a good result as they have admitted their disadvantage of playing the second leg away.

Tunisia coach, Samir Landoulsi, told the Daily Graphic last Tuesday that, "it is a dicey game coming up against a team like Ghana but we have not come this far in this qualifiers just to succumb. We will give it our best shot."

Despite the hosts admission of their underdog status, the Queens are not taking anything for granted but are sticking to their game plan of securing a 'good result' in Tunis.

Today's game will see players of the two sides, who clashed in their Under-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers, n clashing again. In that game, Ghana won both legs with players such as skipper Mercy Myles and goalkeeper Patricia Mantey who say they are in Tunis to repeat that feat.
