Sapholda Hockey League: GRA overtake Trustees at the top
Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) moved to the summit of the Sapholda Hockey League men's standings with a 7-0 demolition of Legon Knights, overtaking Trustees at the top.
The GRA lads capitalised on two-point leaders Trustees not being in action to displace them with an effortless thrashing of the Legon Knights youngsters on Saturday at the Theodosia Okoh Stadium.
GRA, on 20 points after eight games now boasts a two-point lead over Trustees who have a game in hand.
In the other men's division matches, Exchequers drew 1-1 with Police and Reformers defeated Ark Men 2-0.
In the women's division, GRA Ladies bettered the scoring rate of their male counterparts, battering Real Ambassadors Ladies by 19 goals to nil.
GRA's victory ensured that they maintained their six-point lead over Ghana Police Ladies who beat Reformers by 2-0 in the other encounter.
Leaders of the youth division, Real Ambassadors edged Young Financiers 1-0 while whipping boys of the category, Ark Boys were handed sixth loss in as many games in a 0-2 loss to Ark Boys.
Leaders of the Master's League, Sapholda suffered a setback in their bid to retain the title after Multistix held them to a 4-4 draw.
