According to Appiah, the programme was the best way to improve his stamina for his final game slated for June 27 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He said: "I am happy to be here with lots of people, especially the kids, and I am exercising to improve my stamina for my big game”.

"I always keep myself fit but I want to be extra fit to thrill the fans before I hang my boots”, he added.

He also hinted that his sons, Larry and Rodney, might  play in a curtain- raiser on the day of his testimonial.

"I am still discussing this with the organisers. I remember playing colts games as a youngster before big games.

“My sons are in the age teams at the Lizzy Sports Complex and I will be glad if they could take part in the testimonial," he added.

Also present at the session were Appiah's former Black Stars teammates, Laryea Kingston, GFA spokesperson Ibrahim Saanie Daara, Dr Prince Pambo of the GFA medical committee, as well as musicians M.anifest and Praye Tiatia.
