Victor Osimhen joins Galatasaray on loan
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has agreed to a loan move to Turkish giants Galatasaray after a potential transfer to Chelsea fell through last week.
Chelsea had spent the entirety of deadline day attempting to secure a deal for the Napoli forward but were unable to reach an agreement on his wages. Following the collapse of the move, Napoli manager Antonio Conte made it clear that Osimhen would not feature in his plans for the season.

In response, Napoli quickly secured a replacement by signing Romelu Lukaku for £30 million, leaving Osimhen free to explore other options. Galatasaray swiftly acted, securing the 25-year-old on a loan deal.
Osimhen has arrived in Istanbul to finalize the move. Galatasaray, who have been drawn against Tottenham in the Europa League group stage, are looking to bolster their attacking options with the addition of the prolific Nigerian forward.
Interestingly, the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13, allowing Galatasaray to complete the deal after other European leagues have closed their windows. It is reported that Osimhen has requested a break clause in the loan agreement, allowing him to consider offers from top clubs during the January transfer window.
Last week, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli had reached an agreement to sign Osimhen, but the striker ultimately decided against the move.
