Volleyball: Police ladies are super champs

The Police women’s volleyball team last Tuesday emerged champion of champions after beating their Air Force counterparts 3-1 at the Lebanon House in Accra.

Police took the first two sets 25-23, 2519, while Air Force took the third set 25-23 before Police sealed victory in the fourth set with a score of 25-14.

However, the men’s match between Police and Immigration could not end due to poor visibility. The game had to be postponed to today after the fourth set following a 2-2 deadlock. .

Handing over the trophy to the Police women’s team, the chairman of the Greater Accra Volleyball Association, George Tetteh, reiterated his outfit’s efforts at facilitating the growth of volleyball in the region.

 “We are on course and volleyball is growing. Volleyball is making a slow but steady progress and with commitment from all we shall surely make volleyball a national past-time”, he assured.

The champion of champions competition pits the winners of the league against the winners of the knockout.
