Wasiru returns after four years, set to fight in Johannesburg Nov.
The long-awaited return to international action by former WBO Africa junior featherweight champion, Wasiru Mohammed, will now come off against South Africa's Kaine Fourie in a 10-round lightweight clash in Johannesburg on November 23.
Undefeated Mohammed, fondly nicknamed Djatabi, to wit, little lion, only returned to the ring in June following a four-and-a-half-year hiatus since January 2020.

But the 28-year-old showed no signs of rustiness in dispatching Michael Akramah Tetteh in 5 of 8 scheduled rounds of a super featherweight contest at the Bukom Boxing Arena and soon got a fight in Germany.
However, visa acquisition delays culminated in the cancellation of the September 21 scheduled clash against Bihes Barakat in Bonn.
Wasiru was not demoralised as he kept training and now the former WBO Global titlist has an impending battle against undefeated Fourie (8-0-2, 6 KOs), who holds the IBF Africa lightweight title he captured by stopping, Siseko Makeleni in July.
The high-rated boxer also reunited with long-time manager, John Manfo, a few months ago following the signing of a new five-year deal.
"Training camp is going very well, we are not making too much noise about it. The agenda remains the same, to become a world champion so we are ready to take on the toughest opponents anywhere. Wasiru is preparing and training is going well," his manager, John Manfo, told Graphic Sports.
The boxer also acknowledges the influence and importance of his team in the revival of his, hitherto, stagnated career and assured his fans of his victory in SA.

"I'm grateful to my manager, my coach, the entire team, and especially my loyal fans, for all the love and support. I promise a knockout in the fight and looking forward to more challenges and to win more titles for you," Wasiru Mohammed said.
