We cleared players of wrongdoing — Allies: After losing to Hearts

The Management of Inter Allies FC has cleared all players who featured in their game against Accra Hearts of Oak of any wrongdoing after a meeting with the playing body and the technical team last Monday.

There was suspicion over the team’s 2-3 loss to the Phobians after the club's technical director,  Willie Klutse, had insisted that the club's goalie, Kwame Baah’s conduct raised suspicison, particularly when he stayed in the dressing room while the two teams had reported on the field after the  recess.

Klutse argued strongly that the manner in which his players surrendered their 2-0 lead and eventually lost the game-3-2 smacked of suspicion.

But in a terse statement issued and signed by the vice president of the club, Mr. Delali Eric Senaye, Allies cleared the players of any wrongdoing urging the entire technical team and playing body to be more disciplined and display mental toughness during and after matches.

"We take this opportunity to apologise to our fans for the loss to Hearts  and urge them to rally behind the technical team and playing body to return the club to winning ways", it stated.

Meanwhile, Inter Allies head coach, Herbert Addo, has attributed his side’s defeat to the Phobians last Sunday to lack of concentration on the part of his players.

Frederick Boateng connected an Evans Mensah cross in the 49th minute to put Inter Allies ahead with Gockel Ahortor increasing the tally in the 65th minute  before the Phobians bounced back through Isaac Mensah(68th minute) and Ibrahim Musah (84th and 89th minute).
