Speaking at the launch in Accra, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson, praised the Tech in Ghana initiative for its significant role in promoting technological innovation and creating opportunities for economic growth.
She explained how the platform has evolved since its inception in 2017, bringing together key players in Ghana’s tech ecosystem and beyond.
"The reason the British High Commission has been supporting this initiative as much as we possibly can is because it's having a huge impact.
It brings together all the players in the tech ecosystem — not just in Ghana but beyond as well. It is really showcasing what Ghana can do,” she said.
She added that the platform was not just about showcasing innovations but generating practical solutions to global challenges, which in turn drive economic growth and job creation.
The Founder of Tech in Ghana, Akosua Annobil, highlighted the significant growth of Ghana's tech ecosystem over the past seven years.

According to her, the platform has transcended its initial role as a conference to become a broader voice for technology advancement in Ghana.
Ms Annobil also announced the launch of the new Tech in Ghana mobile application, encouraging attendees to download it.
She added that the app offers networking capabilities, personalised agenda settings and detailed information about exhibitors, all designed to enhance participants' event experience.
