Advans Ghana extends operations with new Takoradi branch
Advans Ghana Savings and Loans has opened its 21st branch in Takoradi as part of its efforts to expand access to financial services for businesses in the Western Region.
The institution says the move forms part of a broader strategy to support small and medium-sized enterprises and strengthen financial inclusion across the country.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Managing Director of Advans Ghana, Guillaume Valence, said the new branch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to traders, farmers, fishers and service providers whose activities drive local economies.
“We are here for the business community because we believe in relationships and in understanding the needs of our clients,” he said.
He highlighted that Advans Ghana currently serves more than 145,000 clients nationwide and employs over 700 staff.
The company now operates 21 branches across Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Techiman and Takoradi, with five more branches expected to open next year.
Growing nationwide
Mr Valence said the company has disbursed more than 250,000 loans valued at over GH¢4 billion since it began operations 17 years ago.
This includes 13,000 loans worth GH¢745 million in 2025.
He explained that the institution offers savings, deposits and loans, supported by digital platforms such as the My Advans App and the MobiBank service, which allow clients to transact remotely.
He assured customers of the safety and confidentiality of their funds and data, emphasising that Advans Ghana operates under the supervision of the Bank of Ghana and holds ISO 27001 certification.
The Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Barbara Odei, said the company’s relationship-driven approach remains central to its growth.
“At Advans, every client is unique and has specific needs. Our relationship management culture enables us to provide tailored financial solutions and serve customers at the point of their individuality. This is what sets us apart,” she said.
Focus on client
Mrs Odei added that the institution continues to invest in innovation and customer engagement.
“We are constantly interacting with our clients, learning from them and improving our products and services to better serve every market segment,” she said.
The Branch Manager for Takoradi, Seth Ofori, expressed gratitude to management for the opportunity to lead the new branch. He said the team is committed to upholding the company’s values of integrity, reliability and excellence.
“The establishment of this branch shows our dedication to serving the vibrant Takoradi community and contributing to local economic growth. We pledge to deliver exceptional service and tailored financial solutions that promote business development and stability,” he said.
