Afro-Arab Micro Finance CEO receives service excellence award
The Chief Executive of Afro-Arab Micro Finance Company Limited, Alhaji Salamu Amadu has won an award for Service Excellence in Micro and Small Financing.
The 29-year-old was given the award at the 2nd West Africa SME Conference and International Awards of Excellence held on Thursday at the British Council in Accra.
The citation accompanying the award said Alhaji Amadu was being commended for "his insight and experience in investment analysis and research which has contributed in the building of a well-diversified micro-finance company with its sole aim of bringing banking to the doorstep of Ghanaians."
The award was received on behalf of Alhaji Amadu by a Branch Manager of Afro-Arab Micro Finance, Ebenezer Mensah Manarh.
In an acceptance speech read on behalf of Alhaji Amadu behalf, he expressed the hope the award will inspire young people in the country.
"I am personally very happy to be honoured in this manner by my peers across West Africa but this award is because of the confidence that my customers have in my company.”
"I hope that this award will serve as proof to all that the youth of Africa can succeed in business and entrepreneurship especially if given support by society."
