CEOs’ forum slated for Thurs

The maiden “CEOs’ Forum,” organised by the Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners (IHRMP), Ghana, comes off in Accra this Thursday, May 26, 2016.

The forum is expected to bring together chief executives and human resource (HR) practitioners across industries and organisations onto a single platform to discuss issues confronting HR practitioners and their organisations in the country.

The President of IHRMP, Mr John Wilson, said ahead of the event that discussions would cover a litany of issues which included the CEOs’ expectations of HR and other related on-the-job issues which strongly impacted on best practices in the profession

 “IHRMP is the leading institute for HR training and development in Ghana, dedicated to the advancement of the practice of human resource management in the country,” Mr Wilson indicated.

He continued that with over 1,000 members who worked in both the private and public sector organisations including ministries, departments and agencies, as well as non-governmental organisations, the CEOs’ forum would go a long way to improve the practice of HR in the country.

Some organisations whose CEOs and HR directors and managers are expected to attend the forum are: Starlife Assurance, GCB Bank, COCOBOD, TV3, Vodafone, the Minerals Commission and Public Services Commission.

The rest are Fidelity Bank, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, Graphic Communications Group Limited, Unilever Ghana among others.
