The IACA is the only International Organisation in the cash community that brought together Central Banks along with industry experts and cash service suppliers, providing a neutral forum and working together to help influence industry direction.

It is a non-profit independent member organisation formed in 2004 to promote and encourage excellence in the cash cycle across the world.

The IACA also serves as a platform for sharing of knowledge and collaboration on matters of strategic importance.

The appointment of Mr Owusu, therefore, projects the prominence of Ghana in global currency management and positions, with leading international figures, shaping the future of currency affairs.

Mr Owusu joins an esteemed board, which includes the newly elected Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Koenig and Bauer Banknote Solutions, Eric Boissonnas; CTO of Authentix, Tim Driscoll and CEO of Giesecke+Devrient, Wolfram Seidemann.

As a member of the IACA board, Mr Owusu would contribute to the development of international currency policies.

He would also help to advance best practices within the industry. His appointment also enhances the reputation of Ghana as a key player in the global currency landscape.

With his expertise and forward-thinking approach, Mr Owusu is expected to bring valuable insights to the IACA, particularly in the integration of advanced technologies into currency processing and management.

His appointment marks a significant milestone for the BoG, thereby reinforcing its leadership in driving innovative solutions on the global stage. END
