Eastern regional ARB elects new women’s wing leaders
The Eastern Regional Chapter of the Association of Rural Banks (ARB) has elected new leaders to steer the affairs of its Women’s Wing following a successful election exercise held earlier this month.
In a report submitted to the Executive Director of the Association of Rural Banks-Ghana, the Eastern Regional Administrator, Ms. Abena Serwaa Kwakye, confirmed the completion of the electoral process and provided details of the newly elected executives.
The new leadership is headed by Mrs. Ambretha Akosua Adutwum of South Birim Rural Bank, who takes over as President. She will be deputised by Ms. Jennifer Ofori-Boateng from Dumpong Rural Bank.
The new Secretary is Monica Ndebugre, Esq., representing Akuapem Rural Bank, while Ms. Judith Yomle Okrah of Akim Bosome Rural Bank assumes the position of Treasurer. Ms. Matilda Sai Mottor from Mumuadu Rural Bank was elected Organiser.
The letter, dated October 17, 2025, acknowledged an earlier directive from the National Secretariat dated September 1, 2025, requesting the conduct of elections to select executives for the Women’s Wing at the chapter level.
Ms. Kwakye, in forwarding the election results to the ARB Executive Director in Accra, urged that the national office update its records to reflect the new leadership.
The election marks another step in strengthening the representation and coordination of women within the ARB network, particularly at the regional level, where the Women’s Wing continues to play a critical role in promoting gender inclusivity and professional development in Ghana’s rural banking sector.
The Association of Rural Banks-Ghana oversees activities of rural and community banks across the country, providing capacity building, advocacy, and coordination for sustainable rural financial services.
