uniCredit pledges support for SMEs
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of uniCredit, Mr Samuel Sakyi-Hyde, has reiterated the resolve of the company to continue in its quest to support small businesses to grow.
He gave the assurance during recent engagements with key customers of the institution in Kumasi and Takoradi.
“We have built expertise over the years that place us in a better position to understand small businesses and our strength is in helping you to grow,” he said.
Business mistakes
In a presentation on the common mistakes Ghanaian businesses made, he said, research had shown that most Ghanaian businesses did not travel beyond the lifetime of their founders.
Mr Sakyi-Hyde outlined key factors which could be dealt with by business owners to ensure the sustainability of their businesses.
The CEO assured customers that in view of that, uniCredit had put in place effective training and business advisory programmes to benefit its customers.
He emphasised that uniCredit offered a growth and development process to support its customers.
“We will continue to work with our customers to identify and take advantage of the right businesses,” he said.
Customer Week
uniCredit recently set aside a week to celebrate its esteemed clients during its Customer Appreciation Week.
Celebrating the week on the theme: “Think Customers, Go the Extra Mile”, several customer-focused activities were carried out throughout the week to re-emphasise the institution’s commitment to meeting and even exceeding clients’ expectations.
“We are optimistic of our prospects for growth this year, and we will continue to respond to your varied needs and improve service delivery to surpass your expectations,” he said.
He hinted that as part of making the uniCredit service experience to many more potential customers, uniCredit would be opening five more branches to close the year with the projected 20 branches.
