Verna wins award at Ghana National Medical Excellence Awards
Verna Mineral Water, produced by Twellium Industrial Company Limited has been honoured as the safest water at the Ghana National Medical Excellence Awards.
Verna picked the award at the 6th edition of the Ghana National Medical Excellence Awards.
The Ghana Medical Excellence Awards (MEA) established in 2011 and initiated by Dr. Dauda Amidu Titus, is an annual event aimed at recognizing healthcare professionals, individuals and institutions in the health sector.

The awards is aimed at honoring the outstanding achievements and selfless dedication as well as devotion in supporting, developing and sustaining healthcare delivery in Ghana.
Verna Mineral Water is a brand of bottled water which is primarily produced and marketed in Ghana by Twellium Industrial Company Limited.
The award was given after an assessment of the raw and packaging materials from approved suppliers to ensure they meet the required specification and the use of series of purification steps for raw water treatment to ensure complete absence of harmful bacteria in Verna by use of a highly efficient dosing system which disinfects the raw water without leaving any traces of chlorine.
Other winners the Ghana National Medical Excellence Awards were Dr. Lovia Araba Williams of the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital who won the overall winner doctors category, Dr. Silas Amegashitsi of the Salvation Army Health Service Ghana, who also won the overall winner Physician Assistants category, Mercy Andoh of Trauma and Specialist Hospital (Central Region) with the Overall winner Midwives category and the GTV Monday Morning Health Show, which won the television health programme of the year.
