Capasta: Control will be bigger than Telemo
His rap verse on Gasmilla’s Telemo, contributed in making the single one of the hottest songs of the year and Capasta, real name Imurana Abdul-Karim is back with his own single, Control, which he says would have an even bigger impact than Telemo.
Capasta opens the song with an advice for the youth “to work hard in silence and let your success make noise.” Capasta sings about having control and earning money, the best way they know how in order to live large and enjoy the finer things in life.

He raps that he has total control over every aspect of his life as evidence from his travels, his many luxurious cars and expensive outfits by designers such as Louis Vuitton, Prada among others.
He goes on to brag to his love interest that he is capable of taking very good care of her to the extent where her entire family would also be taken care of. He intersperse his raps with the catch phrase “Ambandi”, a Hausa term which refers to anything exciting or breath-taking.
Control is a well put together, party, feel good song that is bound to get people dancing to the groove. The beat, which is a fusion of Azonto and Alkayeida rhythms, make the song very catchy and fun to listen to.
Capasta sings and raps in a combination of Pidgin English and Hausa which means the song will appeal to the youth.
In an interview with Showbiz, Capasta acknowledged that the bar had been set high with the success of Telemo but he was confident that since he had already shown Ghanaians what he was capable of; Control would be an even bigger song.
Capasta who works as a sports coach at the Lizzy Sports Complex, said his brand “Ambandi” is set to take the Ghanaian music industry by storm.

“Ambandi” is already a huge and accepted brand within Nima and the Zongo communities and I know that I have what it takes to push the brand even beyond Ghana,” he said.
