Choirmaster releases video of "Catwalk"

After the release of his popular Cat Walk song in August this year, fans of Choirmaster have been looking forward to the video and  he gave them that satisfaction with the release of the video last Monday.

The video, which was directed by 5Stevens and Snares Beats features actress, Brenda Bonsu, and was shot in locations in East Legon and its environs.

The music clip starts with a scene where Choirmaster bumps into the “lady of his dreams” and makes moves to woo her. But perhaps, hismoves are not good enough to get her to fall in love with him but as a man, he chases after his dream and finally gets her nod.

Produced by Mix Masta Garzy, Cat Walk which features Captain Planet of 4x4 fame recounts the many experiences men go through when they meet the woman of their dreams.

Like a “lover man”, Choirmaster talks about how the woman of his dreams “caught his eye” because of her steps.

He says like a model, the lady’s steps attract a lot of attention and that is the reason why he wants her so he can proudly show her off to the world as the queen of his heart.

The mid-tempo song which is in Twi and Pidgin English may not be rich in instrumentation or lyrical content, however, it has a catchy chorus which makes it an ideal party song.

Choirmaster aptly defined the “feeling” of the song in pictures in the video where a group of female dancers choreographed a dance to get Choirmaster’s attention but unknown to them, they did not have the ‘catwalk’ steps to win his love.

“Music video production has become a very important aspect of an artiste’s brand and I know it narrates the stories better. Initially, I didn’t want to shoot a video but the many requests from my numerous fans influenced me and so far, the reviews have been good,” he told Showbiz on Wednesday.

Currently, Choirmaster is working on the release of his second album after his debut Revelations solo album last year which had songs such as Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Saved By Grace among others.
