Femi to release two singles on Citi FM

Banker and musician, Calvin Femi Dotse is set to release two singles, Kabokabo (Trotro)  and No Matter’ tomorrow on Citi FM’s countdown show hosted by Dj Gaddafi.

Recorded by Shotto Blinxs in Ashaiman last month, No Matter talks about the need for everyone to work hard if they want to succeed in life.

On the song, Femi says he is determined to make it big in life, hence the reason he is serious about whatever he does.

He continues to say that he would not give up no matter the situation because he knows with determination and hard work, he can make it.

Hiplife duo, Gallaxy who featured on the song, comes in to echo what Femi has been preaching all along.

 The two guys sing about the difficult road to success but say they wouldn’t give up but rise even if they fall several times.

The second single, Kabokabo (Trɔtrɔ) looks into the many squabbles that occur on commercial vehicles in Ghana and Nigeria especially regarding fares.

Femi sings about an experience he would never forget when he boarded a trotro and the mate refused to give him back his change because he claimed he (the mate) didn’t have any.

Talking about how he combines being a banker  and an entertainer, the man who recently earned an MBA in Financial Management from the Cambridge international College, U.K , said,  “I use music as an escape from the vigorous demands of the banking world. It relaxes my nerves after a hard day’s work.”

Other songs he has to his credit are Burning Desire and Guan featuring Luther.
