Shake the ‘Aposor’ off

As the year 2015 comes to an end, many “Thank You” services are being held to show appreciation to God for a successful year.

However, gospel musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong’s service dubbed Aposor Music and Prayer Festival scheduled for Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Circle on December 26 is not to thank God for a good year but to bring believers together to pray for a better 2016.

For the Tabitha Kum singer, the year has not been a very good one due to the power crisis, high cost of living, among others the country is facing, praying together to make 2016 devoid of such challenges is the way to go.

“The country is currently facing many problems and it is the duty of Christians to rise up and stay united to intercede on behalf of the country and that is what I hope to achieve with this prayer festival,” he said in an interview with Showbiz last week.

In addition to praying together, the 7:00 pm event which is free will see the Aposor man thrill the patrons with music from his repertoire of many popular songs such as Zaphenat Paneah, Mahashala, Tabita Kum and Akuya 57 among others.

He will be supported on stage by gospel artistes including Nhyira Betty, O.J, Patience Nyarko, Yaw Sarpong and Anita Afriyie to spice up the moment with their music and performances.

“Anyone who makes it on the day will not leave the same. They will not leave without experiencing the touch of God and the abundant blessings that comes with it.

“ I know God will use me and my other colleagues to bless and revive the hope of those who have lost hope in the progress of the country,” he added.

Apart from the Boxing day prayer festival, Nicholas also hopes to bless patrons with his music when he performs at events lined up to mark the Yuletide such as Joyous Praise, Hour of Praise, Thank You Jesus Concert, Adom TV 9 Lessons and Carols Night and Adenta Praise.
