Akwaboah concert on Val’s Day
The fervour that used to usher in Valentine’s Day may have gone down in recent times but it is still one of the anticipated seasons of the year and is marked with a lot of events.
One such event is Akwaboah Unplugged organised by Highlife crooner, Akwaboah which is slated for the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra.
The maiden edition came off last year with fans being treated to some great love songs.
This year’s event, themed, “Shades of Love” will see the I Do Love You hitmaker bring meaning to the celebration of love with his performances.

The Sarkcess Music artiste will be supported by his label head, Sarkodie, Becca, Efya, Okyeame Kwame, Afriyie, Adina, Kofi Kinaata and Sorakiss.
Also on the bill at the 8:00 pm show are Lamisi, Strongman, Kurl Songx, Mizter Okyere, Kankam and many more.
There will also be poetry performances by Timmy and Rhyme Sunny.
Akwaboah will be backed by VGMA Instrumentalist of the Year, Philip Acquah and the Patch Bay Band.
In an interview with Showbiz, Akwaboah’s manager, Philip Acquah said patrons would be thrilled with live band performances unlike last year’s which had more of the electric sound feel.
“This time, we want the audience to have a better feel of Akwaboah’s voice and that is why the Patch Bay Band has been contracted to support him. It will be a hybrid of the acoustic sound and the electric sound,” he explained.
The event would be hosted by broadcaster and fashion designer, Kwasi Okyere Darko (KOD).
