Bobrisky released from prison, warns Nigerians against Naira abuse
Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison after serving time for mutilating naira notes.
He was convicted on April 5 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on four counts of naira abuse and pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.
Following his release on Monday, August 5, Bobrisky was seen celebrating with friends in a video, dancing to Mohbad's and Chike's Egwu.
His friends congratulated him on his release, saying, "We are out of prison. Congratulations, Bobrisky."
In an interview with GoldMyneTV, Bobrisky advised Nigerians to respect the naira and follow the law.
"Don't spray money, unless you want to become a landlord in Kirikiri," he warned. "It's not just about serious crimes; even a minor offense like this can land you in prison."
Bobrisky expressed gratitude to his friends who supported him during his incarceration and urged Nigerians to abide by the law.
