How media personality Oheneni Adazoa met her husband through a “wrong call”
Ghanaian media personality, Oheneni Adazoa, shared a story of how she met her husband while living in the United Kingdom.

In an interview with Delay, the Kumasi-based presenter revealed that she was trying to reach someone in Ghana, but accidentally dialed the wrong number, which led to a life-changing connection.
The mistaken call, made years ago, surprisingly reached her now-husband, marking the beginning of their journey together. Oheneni Adazoa, known for her thought-provoking social issues programme, credits fate for bringing them together in such an unexpected way.
“I met my husband in 2003 through a wrong call. I was calling someone in Ghana. I missed some of the digits so it went to another person [who is now my husband.
My mother who was based in Italy had visited Ghana for my auntie's funeral so I was calling to find out preparations for the funeral when the number went to another person," she said.
Settling into a long-distance connection, Oheneni Adazoa nurtured a relationship with the man for a year before they decided to take the leap and arrange a marriage, despite never having met in person.
Reflecting on their 20 year old union, Oheneni shared an emotional truth - she and her husband have faced the challenges of childlessness. Yet, with unwavering optimism, she holds onto the hope of becoming a mother one day, a dream she cherishes deeply.
“I’ve been married for twenty years and still don’t have a child, but I’m continuing to seek one. It hasn’t been easy; it’s been a challenging journey but I’m confident that even when it’s left with one day to die, I will carry my child.
