Renowned radio and TV personality, Genevieve Abrefa Yeboah, aka Oheneni Adazoa has replied critics for sharing her personal struggle with childlessness despite 20 years of marriage.

On her Osompa FM show, Oheneni explained that her intention was to empower women facing similar challenges, encouraging them to find strength in their stories.
She expressed no regrets about going public with her experience, citing the biblical accounts of barren women who gave birth to extraordinary destinies. Oheneni mentioned that she is unbothered by those who may be uncomfortable with her truth.
“Someone mentioned that I shouldn’t have talked about not having children after 20 years of marriage on Delay’s show, and I responded, ‘Why not?’ There are others in the same situation who need to know they are not alone. We are in this battle together, and we will overcome.
“This situation is no joke. Sometimes, as a woman, you notice changes, but things turn out differently. This has been happening for a long time, and it takes God’s strength to endure.
“I want to encourage those going through similar situations that the tears are enough, get up and do what is needed.
In an emotional moment on The Delay Show, Oheneni Adazoa bravely opened up about her personal struggle, saying, "I've been married for twenty years, and although I haven't been blessed with a child yet, I still hold onto hope. Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of David, who encouraged himself in the Lord, Oheneni shared her own testament of faith, pointing out that she’s unfazed by her childlessness since she believes she has a divine mandate to give birth to a child with a great destiny.

“When we read the Bible, we see that all the barren women, those who cried to the Lord for children didn’t give birth to ordinary children. Their children had great destinies and I’m confident my unborn child will be a moderator of the Presbyterian church of Ghana,” she said.
