Speaking to the media and patrons at the Akwaaba Village Friday morning, Dr Buckman said Afua Asantewaa's attempt of breaking the longest singing marathon by an individual is an inspiration to all.

Explaining further, the team said her sleep deprivation in the last few days was affecting her body system and the signs were not too good for her total wellbeing.

They also disclosed that Afua started showing signs of mental stress by making unnecessary comments and gestures, something, which was medically expected and had been explained to her before the start of the competition.

Her attempt, which is yet to be verified by Guinness World Record judges, went beyond the current record for the longest sing-a-thon held by India’s Sunil Waghmare in 2012.
