The other shows she currently presents are Citi FM’s late afternoon and is co-host of Viasat1’s Celebrity Fanzone.

This time though, it is a different Jessica as the less glammed, sporty, jeans wearing, no studio appearing and always sassy looking Jessica who has been hitting the streets of Accra and having interesting, no-holds-barred conversations with people.

Known as Beta Malt On the Go, these street conversations sponsored by Accra Brewery Company’s malt drink, Beta Malt are put together as a television show and shown on four television channels at different times on Saturdays and Mondays.

Jessica meets people on the streets and just asks them random questions or asks them to perform an activity such as dancing or just anything that comes to her  mind .

“For me it is just a way to find out what gives people the impetus to wake up every morning to go and practically hustle for daily bread for themselves and their families,” says Jessica. “Also let’s face it, it is also an amazing way for me to have fun while working,” Jessica said.

Judging from the last few episodes that has been shown, it appears Jessica really does have fun on the streets.

“I have done a lot of things on television over the years and this one is none like the others. Here I have freedom to ask the wittiest questions I can think about and most of the time the people I meet on the streets play along perfectly.”

It really doesn’t matter who the person is: male or female, young or old, trader or student or just any person going about his or her grind and manages to find him or herself where Jessica and the filming crew are.

This is a show that Jessica would like to be on for a long time. “It’s been fun all these while and I honestly hope it will continue for as far as it can,” she chuckles.

According to Portia Ofei Asare , the Brand Manager of Beta Malt, Jessica was the perfect person they thought about when the idea came up.

“You can see from what has happened on television so far that Jessica fits the bill perfectly,” Portia said. “Honestly, she was the one person who we knew would deliver this show and she has  lived perfectly to that.”

The concept of the show, according to her, is to demonstrate in a relaxing manner, how people on the streets of Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale and everywhere in Ghana “go about their daily activities, how they can break down complex things into simple everyday things, laugh at the very light things and think on their feet to answer everyday questions.”

“We think we have been able to create content that projects our brand, but is also very soft and relaxing enough for viewers to relate to and the feedback we have had so far shows that Beta Malt On the Go,” is hitting the right spots,” Portia said while adding that the purpose of the show “is to empower Ghanaians in the pursuit of their dreams.”

Beta Malt On the Go has been airing on Saturdays on TV3 (10am), 4Syte TV (10am) and GhOne TV (8:30pm) and on Mondays on Viasat 1 TV (10am) respectively.
