John Dumelo cleans his constituency

Ghanaian actor and a politician, John Dumelo, has been spotted helping the youth of Mempasem, a suburb of Accra in a cleanup exercise.

In a video posted on Twitter, the actor was seen transporting a truck load of rubbish.

In a tweet, Mr Dumelo said “I was happy to join the youth of Mempasem to clean gutters and clear weeds. We will be doing this every other weekend. If we all join hands, Ayawaso West will be the cleanest,”

Mr Dumelo, in August this year, was elected to represent the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the 2020 elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We need to clean the filth first, then educate the constituents on how to effectively dispose of the garbage. It’s a step at a time....a step at a time to keep the city clean,” he added.
