Judas and Delilah 2 at AICC
Patrons who watched Globe Productions’ play, Judas and Delilah, earlier in the year may have left with many unanswered questions as it ended inconclusively.
Well, now, they have an opportunity to satisfy their curiousity as Globe brings the second part to the Accra International Conference Centre today, September 15 and Sunday, September 16.
Titled Judas and Delilah 2, this play will tackle one big societal menace, HIV/AIDS, and how we need to eliminate it.
The first play, which focused on First Aid, told the story of a watchman obsessed with a cheating nurse who also had eyes on a medical doctor who remained aloof against her advances.
Even as they all work on their tricks, the question of who emerged victorious was not revealed, necessitating a second round.
In Judas and Delilah 2, we follow the doctor, who it is revealed had HIV and had managed to spread it to several people over 10 years without being caught.
We also get to see how Delilah plans to take revenge on the doctor who she believes has given her the disease.
Playwright, Latif Abubakar, who heads Globe Productions tells Daily Graphic that they have catered for patrons who did not watch the first play.
“Patrons who missed the first play won’t be left out because we will have a live stage recap of events before the second play starts.
Judas and Delilah 2 will have two showings for today and Sunday with one at 4pm and the other at 8pm.
