Samini holds private listening of ORIGIN8A album ahead of Samini Xperience concert
Revellers at this year’s Samini Experience will enjoy performances of eight songs off Samini’s new album, ORIGIN8A tonight at Laboma Beach hotel.
The Linda hit-maker revealed this during a private listening session held at the Lancaster Hotel, Accra on Monday, December 22.
The session was attended by selected media personnel, industry players, some diehard fans and colleague musicians including Praye Tietia.
The new project is a bold statement of roots and reinvention. For Samini, ORIGIN8A, pronounced Originator is deeply intentional and symbolic, reflecting his journey, influence, and enduring relevance in African music.
The album has 16 songs featuring the likes of M.anifest, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata , Kaakie and Mugeez.
Mix Masta Garzy played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of ORIGIN8A, producing approximately 80% of the album's tracks.

“ORIGIN8A is all about where I come from, where I'm at, and where I'm taking the game. The 8 represents origin, rebirth, and continuity - it's my eighth album, and it's a big deal for me.
“The 16 tracks are a nod to my 20 years in music, multiplied by my 8 albums - it's symbolic, it's personal, it's who I am," he added.
Samini explained that ORIGIN8A is a catalogue of his firsts - from winning a MOBO Award to pioneering African Dancehall and building the High Grade Family fanbase.
“This album honours my influence, impact, and the trailblazing achievements that have earned me the Originator label," he said.
ORIGIN8A drops hot on the heels of "Chaana", the fire single feat. Soweto Gospel Choir that's already vibing as a Pan-African anthem.
Other songs on the album are Bibili, 666 featuring Kuami Eugene, Bomaye ft Manifest, Finally produced by Mix Masta Garzy.
The others are African Queen, Utter Control, Electric Energy ft Stonebwoy, Sexy Mama produced by Small god, Double it up ft Kaakie, Oh Master, Set up ft Mugeez, Crazy blue, which is the only reggae song on the album, Summer and the title track, Origin8a ft Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy.
Samini disclosed that he used four to put together songs on the album and also encouraged young artistes to have positive attitude to work.
