Sonnie Badu storms K'si
Gospel music lovers in Accra last year had a feel of Sonnie Badu’s style of contemporary worship and praise music at the well-publicised Africa Worships with Sonnie Badu concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
There were calls for an encore and come Friday, January 31, that would happen at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. It would be another worship and praise encounter with Sonnie Badu and his band dubbed Kumasi Worships with Sonnie.
It is expected that the multi award-winning Ghanaian artiste, together with another internationally- acclaimed gospel musician Dr. Ron Kenoly from the United States, will thrill fans with pure Christian entertainment at the event.
Supporting artistes include Rev. Thomas Yawson, Tagoe Sisters, Daughters of Glorious Jesus and others.
The aim of the event, according to the organisers, is “to bring together in worship and thanksgiving all who desire to worship God like David did.”
The organisers are hopeful that the concert would pull in thousands of worshippers and leave a good impression on Sonnie’s fans in Kumasi.
For Sonnie Badu who is affectionately referred to as ‘TheWorshipper’ it would be a privilege to once again lead God's children in the art of spiritual intimacy.
The singer launched the annual Sonnie Badu Worship concerts in 2008. Since then, shows have been held in countries like the United States, Germany, Italy, Ireland, England and Canada.
Sonnie has performed with other internationally-recognised gospel acts like Bebe and Cece Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Martha Munizi and Alvin Slaughter.
