SINCE 2015, Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has served fans a thrilling mix of music, culture and energy through his annual BHIM Festival.
This year, the 2023 TGMA Artiste of the Year is set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the concert with an explosive show at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, December 24.
After a brief break, the milestone edition of the festival returns in full force, promising to light up the December holiday season with a blend of Ghanaian rhythms, global vibes and world-class performances.
Originally scheduled for December 26, the date has been moved to avoid clashing with another major event, Taste the Culture.
The organisers, Burniton Music Group (BMG), and the BHIM Festival Secretariat, explained that the change was made in consultation with security and public agencies to enhance safety and ensure a smoother experience for concertgoers.
The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has also joined forces with BMG to support the landmark event. In a statement signed by Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of GTA, she noted, “This partnership reflects our commitment to promoting the creative arts as a key pillar of tourism growth.”
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz on Monday, November 11, Vida Adutwumwaa, Head of Public Relations at BMG, said the team is determined to make this year’s edition one to remember.
“The 10th anniversary of BHIM Festival promises another unforgettable night of world-class performances and a true celebration of Ghanaian music and culture,” she said.
She also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the date change, assuring fans that all previously purchased tickets remain valid and can be redeemed at designated centres.
Since his rise to fame in 2012, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has become one of Ghana’s most decorated and globally recognised artistes.
Over the years, he has strengthened his brand with international tours and collaborations with heavyweights such as Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz, Burna Boy and Alpha Blondie.
In September, Stonebwoy released The Torcher, his third album in three years, following 5th Dimension and Up and Runnin. Fans can expect live performances from the new album as part of the 10th-anniversary celebration, which promises to be a defining moment in his musical journey.
